OctoHunt collects and processes only the data necessary for the app to function properly.

a) Device and Technical Data

  • Camera access: used exclusively for AR visualization and QR-code scanning.

  • Device information: model, OS version, and language (for performance analytics).

b) Account Information (optional)

  • Email address (for authentication)

  • Display name or team name

This data is stored securely using Firebase Authentication.

c) Usage Data

We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous statistics such as session counts, crash reports, and participation metrics. All analytics are aggregated and non-identifiable.

  • Enable AR features and event participation

  • Improve app stability and user experience

  • Support event administrators with anonymized participation data

We never sell or share your data for advertising purposes.

Event data is retained for the duration of ongoing events and deleted within 90 days after completion.
